Our restaurant is a classic stop for every Kungsleden hiker, and for everyone that is in Ammarnäs enjoying the marvelous fly fishing. Here you blend with people from all over the world, sharing meals, drinks, experiences and good laughs. All wines are selected to go with the current menu and the game meat is delivered by Anders Skum at Fjällvilt in Ammarnäs. Local produce is crucial for us since sustainability is central to our business model.
Menu summer 2018:
-Hearty mushroom soup with Västerbotten cheese toast
-Tartar from Arctic char on a grilled toast with our traditional "hovmästar sauce”.
-Grilled arctic char served on a bed of warm potato sallad with grilled lemon and a white wine sauce
-Grilled entrecote with pepper butter, red wine sauce with parsil and garlic sautéed potatoes
-Rein deer burger with pickled onions, västerbotten cheese, lingon berry aioli and french fries.
-Classic beef (or halloumi) burger with aioli, pickled onion, tomato, lettuce and french fries. (Can be served with halloumi instead of beef.)
-Wärdshusets minced reindeer stew with potato puree and lingon berries
-Vegan bean stew with sautéed potatoes
-Vanilla ice cream with warm cloudberries
-Chocolate tarte with caramelized hazel nut and vanilla whipped cream
